There are several levels of remodeling:

First level would simply include a replastering of the existing pool.

Second level may include installation of new tile and coping.

Third level may include new decking, which includes the removal of existing concrete from the pool area. At this level, other options should be considered. Water features may be added. Plumbing should be pressure tested and upgraded if desired. Additional skimmers and returns may be installed, as well as an upgrade from existing equipment to a modern feature.
