Swimming Pool Construction | Pool Contractor Houston Texas
 |
           |
Below you'll find an overview of the steps in our construction process.
| Stakeout: |
 |
The stakeout sets the location of the pool in the yard. This gives the
owner an opportunity to visualize the project and make any adjustments.
During this process, the appropriate permits are obtained, trees are removed,
and utilities are rerouted prior to the excavation. |
| Excavation: |
 |
Excavation is the process of digging and molding the ground into the shape
of your pool. Dirt is removed from the job site, the forms are set, and
the elevation is determined. |
| Rebar: |
 |
Rebar is placed in the floor and walls of the pool in a grid pattern to
provide the shape of the pool. The rebar is #3 or 3/8" throughout and
the pool is set on 8" centers. The beam is tied in a box fashion with
#4 or 1/2", and extra bars are placed in the floor and transition points.
|
| Stubout: |

|
The stubout plumbing includes the skimmers, drains, returns and suction
points. |
| Gunite/Gunite Clean Up: |
 |
Gunite is pneumatically applied concrete that achieves a high PSI as it
cures. The steps, benches, notches, footers, and waterfall pads are built
at this time. A basic cleanup follows that includes leveling, and removing
form boards and trash, which creates a safer work site. |
| Plumbing & Electrical: |
 |
The plumber installs all underground piping to include water and gas lines.
The equipment is set and the electrician follows to install the service
equipment, inside controller, and test equipment. |
| Tile and Coping: |
|

|
The finishing work is completed with tile or stone installed in the waterline,
and coping is placed on the top beam with brick or stone. Water features
are constructed at this time such as waterfalls, raised walls, etc. |
| Deck Installation: |
 |
The decking or patio area around the pool is constructed next. The grade
is leveled, the forms are set, and the rebar and expansion joints are installed.
The drainage is addressed at this time to include 4" pipe or a channel
drain. The deck types range from pea gravel, a spray deck, pavers stamped,
or patterned concrete and flagstone. |
| Plaster or Surface Finish: |
|

|
Many options are available at this stage. White marcite plaster is included
with the standard features, but available upgrades include colored marcite,
diamond brite, exposed pebble finish, or all tile. This stage completes
the construction process and the pool is filled. |
| Finish Up: |
|

|
All final details are completed to include initial start up of equipment,
start up chemicals to achieve H20 balance, final cleanup, and
pool school. |
